Naperville was founded in 1831 by Captain Joseph Naper and is the oldest town in DuPage County.  Although the City of Naperville estimates the population at approximately 135,000, the 2000 Census puts it at just over 128,000.  Naperville is the fourth largest, and third-fastest growing, city in Illinois.  Located about 28 miles from downtown Chicago, Naperville is one of the "Western Suburbs."  Renowned for its schools and often cited by various surveys as one of the best places to live, Naperville is a city that is big enough to have everything you need, while maintaining a town-like atmosphere.  Here is a list of links for local web sites.
